Artist biography:
Born: 1954, Tennessee
L.C. Armstrong received two BFAs, one from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and the other from San Francisco Art Institute.
In 1991 she was awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. Armstrong's work has been included in the 45th Biennial of The Corcoran Collects, the 142nd Biennial Exhibition of Contemporary American Painting in Washington, DC and the Sydney Biennale.
Her work is featured in numerous public collections, including ABN-AMRO Bank NV, Amsterdam, Cornell Fine Arts Museum, Rollins College, Winter Park (Florida), Fidelity Mutual Funds, (Boston, Massachusetts), Harvard Business School, The Schwartz Art Collection, (Boston, Massachusetts), Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, (Kansas City, Missouri), National Museum of Women in the Arts, (Washington DC), Progressive Art Collection, (Cleveland, Ohio), Sony Corporation, (New York) and The Contemporary Art Museum, University of South Florida, (Tampa, Florida).
L.C. Armstrong lives and works in New York City.
