Caio Fonseca studied and trained in Barcelona, Pietrasanta (Lucca) and Paris. He now divides his time between Pietrasanta and New York.
Fonseca has had many solo and selected group exhibitions including the Tayloe Piggott Gallery in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, The Drawing Room, East Hampton, New York, Ben Brown Fine Arts, Hong Kong, Victoria Munroe Fine Art, Boston, Massachusetts, Ben Brown Fine Arts, London, and Paul Kasmin Gallery, New York.
His works are held in numerous public and private collections in Europe and the United States, including the MoMA, New York, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, The Brooklyn Museum, New York, The Smithsonian Institution, Washington DC, the Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden, Washington DC, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston,The Dayton Art Institute, Ohio, and at Goldman Sachs, New York, The Microsoft Collection in Seattle, Washington and Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno in Valencia, Spain.
